Very Yummy Voxel Food

 Yukhoe Voxel Model :D

The reference picture for the project! This is yukhoe, a Korean Steak Tartare Dish I had during my trip in Japan. It's the only time I've ever had wagyu in my life, and it was so unforgettable that I decided to make a model of it.

Fun Fact! I originally planned on making something cute like my plush collection I won from claw machines in that same trip. But then the yukhoe craving hit and I couldn't say no to the memory of the most flavourful meat I've ever had...

The Actual Model Itself!!

I had a lot of fun modeling this! Though I also almost lost my mind due to spending almost 2 hours trying to figure out the damn plate. 2 HOURS. This whole thing took about 6 hours total, so the plate, probably the most simple part 'cause it was just one, big, flat circle took up a third of my time. If you cannot tell, I am annoyed.

The most trouble I had with this project was the struggle of selecting multiple objects at once. I kept accidently deselecting everything so I had to do it over and over and over again. That wasn't fun.

I did enjoy adding colour and textures to the model though. It was a lot of fun to experiment how different materials interacted with each other. I mostly colour picked from the actual image to make it easier for myself, and also to get the colours as accurate as possible. I think I did a good job :D

Overall, it was an awesome project, and it probably reignited my love for pixel based art ദ്ദി(｡•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊

(Also, the images are totally perfectly centered. Whoever says otherwise is a very mean person)
